TOP TEN MOST BEAUTIFUL LAW FACULTIES IN NIGERIA


Nigeria’s tertiary educational system might not be the best in the world but we can always take our time out to examine the beauty of its facilities, there we would be looking at the top ten most beautiful law faculties in Nigeria.

Aside from the fact that a University looks ancient in terms of its building. It shouldn’t be disqualified from being beautiful, what should matter is if the architectural designs and structure of the buildings have remained intact over the years. Here are quite a list of first generation universities on this list not because they necessarily have the finest buildings but because their architectural designs, and structures cannot be compared with.

Below is the list

1.     Obafemi Awolowo University

Formerly called University of Ife, OAU is one of the best Nigerian University in Nigeria. There are so many amazing structures in Ife that you would wonder if it is a University for just civil Engineers, Architects and Estate surveyors. Here is picture of their law faculty. 

2.     Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti

Afe Babalola University Ado- Ekiti was established by a well-respected lawyer and Senior Advocate of Nigeria Afe Babalola. The college of law is perfectly positioned at the heart of the campus showcasing its elegance in full for all to behold. College of law ABUAD, could be viewed as one of most beautiful structure I have ever seen.


3. University of Ibadan 
University of Ibadan is Nigeria’s premier university and virtually the oldest University in Nigeria. Though characterized by obsolete structures, its faculty of law is still a site to behold and has never stopped being one of the most beautiful and breathtaking faculty in Nigeria. It would be a sin not to have it on our top 10 list of most beautiful law faculty in Nigeria.


4. University of Jos
The University of Jos, abbreviated as UNIJOS, is a Federal University in Jos, Plateau State, central Nigeria.


5. University of Benin
University of Benin is one of the first generation federal university in Nigeria. It was founded in 1970.



6. University of Maiduguri
University of Maiduguri, faculty of law also, qualify as one of the finest law faculty in Nigeria. The Faculty of Law, University of Maiduguri, started as the Department of Law in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law. The Department commenced teaching in November, 1976, with Professor (then Mr) Niki Tobi (now a retired Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria).


7. University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
The University of Nigeria, commonly referred to as UNN, is a federal university located in Nsukka, Enugu State, Nigeria. Founded by Nnamdi Azikiwe in 1955 and formally opened on 7 October 1960, the University of Nigeria, faculty of law could qualify as one of the finest building among the top ten most beautiful faculty in Nigeria.

8. University of Ilorin.
University of Ilorin, also known as Unilorin, is a federal government university located in Ilorin, Nigeria. It was established by a decree of the Federal Military Government in 1975 and is a federal government owned tertiary institution of education located in Ilorin, Kwara State, western Nigeria. Unilorin faculty of law is one of the beautiful faculty of law in Nigeria.


9. Ahmadu Bello University.
Ahmadu Bello University is a federal government research university located in Zaria, Kaduna State. ABU was founded on October 4, 1962, as the University of Northern Nigeria. The university operates two campuses: Samaru and Kongo in Zaria. It has one of the finest structures among Nigerian universities, most especially its faculty of law.


10. Adeleke University, Ede.
Adeleke University has just been granted approval to operate a law faculty. The university also recently moved to its permanent site in Ede, Osun State. The faculty boasts of a wonderful architectural masterpiece that is worthy to be in the Top 10 of the most beautiful law faculties.
