Nigerian Law School: Lawmaker Raises Motion Over High Failure Rate

The House of Representatives has considered a motion over the high rate of failure in the Nigerian Law Schoolbar final examination.

In a motion raised by Representative Bode Ayorinde, the House was told that 32% of the total law graduates who wrote the exams failed.

Mr Ayorinde said that the current state of facilities in the law schools make it inappropriate for learning.


He asked the House to express its displeasure at the high failure rate induced by very poor conditions under which the students are being trained.

The House was also asked to mandate its Committee on Justice to assess the conditions of the Nigerian Law Schools and determine the causes of the high rate of failure.
